Post image for Style Book: Color Blocked Pleating.

I had a date night with one of my favorite girl friends this weekend and thought it was the perfect time to break out a skirt I received courtesy of Sugarlips! Pleats and color blocking are everything right now, and I love how the skirt kills two birds. I completed the look with a white blouse and denim shirt (which of course I DIY’d, lol, more on that later). Oh and meet my new babies, a cranberry Rebecca Minkoff, and coral patent leather t-straps. What spending freeze?!?!

Get the look!

P.S. Sugarlips is pretty cool. They aim to use fashion bloggers as the models on their website. Smart move. I love seeing how a piece looks on different body types. Not to mention, seeing how a real person would style it.

Very cute skirt! I have a Color Block Pleated dress that I love. I would have never thought to pair it with a denim shirt. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow! I love the asymetrical look of the skirt… it’s very original and feels like the typical piece you can combine with many other things.

Yes, I also love the color scheme of the skirt. It’s a neutral, so there are a ton of styling options.

Thank you, it was a gift! Take a look at Banana Republic or BaubleBar for something similar.
