Heard it all before. “My closet is too small.” “I have no where to store my shoes.” “Shoe boxes take up too much space.” Well girls, the one thing we can not change about our homes is closet space. It is what it is. However, with options like the Ballard shoe storage system, you can create your own built in closet. All you’ll need is a spare wall.
The only thing that I don’t love about these are the prices. Most of us are not willing to shell out $350 – $1000 even for somewhere to store our beloved shoes. I’m thinking we can do better. A nice sturdy bookcase possibly lined with fabric to enhance your decor is just as cute and 3 times more cost effective.
What are your shoe storage secrets?

OMG! I may find myself at Ikea soon and very soon to recreate this storage wall for my shoes. I just sold my traditional bedroom suite and have opted for a slim wardrobe from Ikea to fulfill my “dresser” needs. Definitely a better use of space.
Thanks for finding me at the new site Katelyn!
Yes, I too have gotten rid of all that big bulk bedroom furniture. This storage technique sophisticated and more importantly interesting to look at.
